Challenge
One of the historical bank in Brazil, also considered the largest Latin American bank, in the years 2015-2020 implemented an ambitious and strategic project that aimed to make an important step in technological innovation of all cash stations present into their branches.
Specifically, the project contemplates:
- renew all the equipments present at their cash desks;
- automate, efficiency and speed up many branch activities previously managed manually;
- expand the range of services offered to its customers;
- manage various payment methods at the branch: from checks to various A4 documents (slips, bills, lottery, etc.).
The project was also particularly challenging, considering the large number of bank’s branches and the territorial vastness on which they were rooted (from large cities to the most remote points of the country).
Solution
bancor and its partners actively collaborated to make available to its customer an extremely high number of lectors, in challenging timelines, which met all the desired requirements.
In particular, bancor solution was particularly functional to the bank’s desired as:
- it’s able to scan different types of documents, up to A4 size and, where necessary, also of different thickness / rigidity;
- it allows to automatically and quickly read the data contained within the documents, in particular through an OCR1D software compliant with Fe.Bra.Ban. standards (Federation of Brazil Banks);
- it’s able to insert document data into pre-existing bank systems, in particular it is able to be integrated within a Linux architecture;
- it is particularly easy to be inserted inside the workstations, even pre-existing ones thanks to its compactness;
- thanks to the collaboration spirit that distinguishes bancor, it is an easily adaptable solution to the eventuality of new customer wishes / functional upgrades.
Today, also thanks to bancor, this Latin American bank can vaunt technologically advanced, fast, effective and sophisticated design cash stations, able to support customers on a wide range of cash transactions and optimizing their Customer Experience.
